GLAUCOMA
Glaucoma is one of the leading causes of blindness. This condition is typically due to an increase in the eye's intraocular pressure. This increase in pressure can result from a blockage in the eye's fluid drainage passages or increased production of fluid. A high and prolonged pressure slowly damages the eye which can result in blindness.  If diagnosed early, glaucoma can usually be controlled with virtually no loss in vision. Otherwise, there is a peripheral loss of vision, which leads to so called "tunnel" vision as depicted in the photo.
